About Hurley Dog Walking

A Message from Kelly, Founder of Hurley Dog Walking

Hello! I’m Kelly, the owner and director of Hurley Dog Walking. It’s hard to believe that nearly ten years ago, I had a simple dream: to start a dog walking business so I could spend more time with my first Rhodesian Ridgeback, JD, in the little village of Hurley, Berkshire.

I juggled three jobs to get things off the ground, working hard to build a trusted reputation. Within two years, the business was thriving, but life had other plans. My husband’s job brought us to Suffolk, and although it was tough to leave behind something successful, we decided to start fresh. Same dedication, same values, just a new location.

That’s when the idea for our private paddocks was born. I wanted to create a safe, secure space where dogs could run freely off lead, play, and socialise. After plenty of research, I realised no one in the area was offering anything like it, so I took the leap. It was a huge success.

Where We Are Now

Today, I run Hurley Dog Walking with two incredible team members, Robyn and Kirsty, who share the same passion for dogs as I do. We operate two secure paddocks, run four group sessions every weekday, and often have a waiting list due to high demand.

Behind the scenes, my amazing husband helps with van maintenance, paddock upkeep, and admin. At home, we have two Ridgebacks, a cat who definitely runs the household, and a little boy named Archie, with another baby on the way.

I’m incredibly proud of what this business has become and so grateful to our loyal clients, many of whom have been with us since the very beginning in Suffolk.

Looking Ahead

This autumn, we’re starting work on a third paddock, which will be ready for use next spring. As we continue to grow, I plan to expand the team by bringing in another group dog walker and someone to support our individual walks and home visits.

By summer 2026, we hope to be a team of five, all dedicated to offering outstanding care, happy dogs, and peace of mind for local pet parents. I continue to be the first point of contact for all new clients, and I personally attend every introductory meeting alongside Robyn and Kirsty.
